Before I even get started, I want to let you know that this is not about if it is important or not to wear a mask while out in public. This is about what a lot of you are doing to yourselves. To put it point blank, a lot of you are slowly killing yourselves by the choices you make in regards to your nutrition and health. You have to do better. So many of you are just eating any and everything without any regards to how it is affecting your insides. Also, you do not exercise at all. This combination can result in a lot of health problems and a strong possibility of death at an early age. You cannot continue to live like this. You are so concerned with wearing a mask when the best thing you can do for yourself is to become healthy. Your mask is not going to protect you from heart disease. Your mask is not going to protect you from diabetes and high blood pressure. Your biggest enemy right now is not invisible. Your biggest enemy stares back at you every time you look in the mirror. The best way to fight against any virus or disease is to be healthy. I’m going to help you focus on your nutritional, physical, and immune health. If you can commit to improving your health in these areas, there is a great possibility that you will be able to live longer.
Nutritional Health: What you put into your body is absolutely important. You cannot continue to feed yourself junk and expect your body to perform when you need it to the most. It’s time to cut out processed and fast foods. Spend more time in the kitchen preparing healthier options. Consume more fruits and vegetables. Drink a lot of water. Eat leaner cuts of meat (if you’re not vegetarian or vegan). Speak with a Nutritionist and come up with a plan. You can even use Google to search for meal plans and recipes for you to try. Look for better options when it comes to snacks. You can even have meals shipped to your house if you choose to do so. You have the ability to make this change today. Do not wait until you start having health problems. You know you need to eat better. Make small gradual changes and before you know it, you’ll be eating healthier and feeling a lot better at the same time.
Physical Health: Start moving. You’re carrying extra weight on your body that is hurting your joints. It is causing your internal organs to work harder than they should. This is not good at all. It is time to stop making excuses as to why you cannot exercise. Your best option will be to get into the gym. Now, I do understand that some of you legitimately cannot make it to the gym on a consistent basis because of work and family life. The gyms are also closed right now. You are still without excuse because you can still exercise at home. You have a huge selection of home workout dvds and streams you can choose from. You can join an online fitness class and workout in your living room. Invest in a treadmill. You may have one in storage that’s just collecting dust. Get it out and walk on it 30-45 minutes a day for 5 days a week. If that is too much for you to do at the moment, you can walk/jog in place while you watch your favorite tv show. You must move. You have to get the blood flowing and your heart pumping. If you need to lose weight, get to work. Get those extra pounds off so you can be healthier.
Immune Health: What are you doing to boost your immune system? Yes, you get a lot of the vitamins and nutrients from the foods you eat. But you may want to consider taking supplements to help make your immune system stronger. I’m going to recommend taking a Vitamin C supplement to help boost your immune system. I would also suggest taking elderberry going into the winter months. It is better to be proactive instead of reactive. Having a strong immune system decreases the possibility of you catching a lot of the viruses that seem to come around during the winter. This may seem small, but it makes a huge difference.
Wearing a mask is not going to protect you from yourself. Your health is in your hands. Either you make the change or there will be someone standing over you wearing a mask operating on you trying to save your life. If you will not do it for yourself, do it for the ones you love. Be around for your grandkids. If you’re taking meds for something that you have the power to change, speak with your doctor about a plan on how to get off of those pills. Take back control of your life by taking back control of your health. Having health is a form of wealth. Do something about it while you still can. Once the power to change is taken out of your hands, you have to live with whatever you are given. Do not let it get to that point. Make the changes now so that you can live your life to the fullest.
